5.2 Rise of Tokenization

Tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs) is quickly becoming a transformative force across various sectors. In real estate, tokenization refers to converting property rights into digital tokens on the blockchain. This process brings several benefits: enhanced liquidity, increased transparency, automation via smart contracts, and broader market accessibility.

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) projects that the tokenization of illiquid assets will become a $16 trillion business opportunity by 2030, with real estate being a cornerstone of this transformation. As blockchain adoption grows, investors will increasingly seek compliant, transparent, and secure platforms to gain exposure to tokenized assets—especially real estate, which naturally fits the tokenization model due to its fixed value, high demand, and clear ownership structure.
